How Hot Can You Eat?

Hi Mylotters! I am here at work waiting for my last client for today. I am alone in our room where we can do what we want for our free time. It is near the reception as I have to accept calls for appointment and give appointment to clients.
While mylotting here, I saw the lunch box of my Thai workmate on the table. She told me to eat some of her food but I am not hungry as I have eaten my lunch already. I was so curious what she brought for her lunch and so I opened the tupperware.
It is the glass noodle salad that I love to eat. I tried a tablespoon of it. It was so delicious but it was so hot. I am sure she put around 20 pieces of chilies again. Now my tongue and lips are burning. It is still bearable for me. I could have eaten more but I know it will not do me good.
How hot can you handle hot food? Have you eaten Thai food? Anyway, I hope you are all fine. I am. Sorry for not being here often. I was traveling again.

I love Thai food and I love hot food. I have a high tolerance for heat when it comes to food.

I have been living in Thailand for years now and still can't be accustomed of their super spicy food. I have to say not spicy but still it will end up a bit spicy... if I say little spicy only it will be super spicy.
for them spicy food is the best, it is delicious. not spicy = bland taste.

I know what you mean @Mavic123456. I work with Thais and they bring their hot and spicy food at work and they let me try it. They keep on laughing seeing my face when I tried their food.

Yummy. I love spicy food but not too spicy as I feel like my tongue would burn like fire.

Me, too @mlgen1037. My tongue, mouth and lips are still burning. I prefer a moderate heat in food.

@thelme55 I agree, Thelma. Sometimes too when it is too spicy, I am unable to taste the real taste of the food because the spiciness overrules everything.

@mlgen1037 so true. Because the food is too hot, my concentration was how to get rid of the hotness in my mouth. Drinking water is not good as it would make it more hot.

@thelme55 when my sister made pad thai she also used glass noodles but they're flat and wide

Yes, the red pieces are chilies. It is bihon. The Thais use bihon for their noodle salad @hereandthere.
