"I Commend Your Honesty in Admitting You're a Troll"

The title of this discussion is the comment I made to a post by a "newbie" or is it JJ's old nemesis? (Judging by the comment of JJ on the post, "The Cockroach" is getting on JJ's nerves.
)
The discussion dealt with Trump's blocking tweets not to his liking and being ruled against by a Federal judge.
Part of the post read
"Yeah the stupid jester court... said you guys can't be blocked.. But me and other pro Trump trolls.."
Most would side with the court's decision but I will play the devil's advocate and say politics had a hand in it.
Do you agree this is a first amendment issue and because Trump is a public official makes his tweeter account a public forum?
Does he not have the right to block tweeters just like other users of twitter?

I said in a reply to JJ's post that this is going to end up in the Supreme Court, which is just stupid. A judge in Kentucky ruled that our governor can block people on his Twitter account. Obviously those are opposing opinions, so one of them is wrong.
I prefer to live and enjoy life than worry about who's blocking who on Twitter.

@FourWalls If anyone twists, has nothing good and kind to say about all the good done by the President of USA, I just block them out. Period.

Does he not have the right to block tweeters just like other users of twitter?
No, simply because he is the head of the government and uses it as a political tool. It isn't as though he is using it as a private citizen.

There will be those who will agree with the court's ruling as well as those who won't. But it won't be the last legal issue regarding use or misuse of social media. What is frightening is the power of social media in influencing public opinion and the danger it impose. How does one draw the line between freedom of expression and behavioral manipulation through these social networks.

@josie_ Trump is way smarter than people will ever give him credit for. The proof is in his accomplishments and in the way he goes about negotiations. Tariffs weren't really about tariffs. Trade deals weren't about trade wars. NK negotiations weren't about going to war with NK. And the list goes on.

I don't pay attention to his tweets. I don't care what he does, blocks, can't block, rulings, etc. I think its all the way around crazy. I do wish that someone would proofread his tweets before he sends them though.

@marguicha _My grandchildren are more tech savvy compare to my knowledge. I reason that as long as I know where the "open" button on my laptop is I'll manage.

Nope. If he simply used it as a private citizen and not as the head of the USA, then yes, but...

@JolietJake _Although the court declared Trump's action violated the right of those tweeters, The judge did not direct Trump to unblock them.

@josie_ Technically yes but an official account cannot deny access to anyone. Even political opposition has its right to say what it felt in matters related to public interest. In case of our politics Twitter has become the 'ground of war' in between the top politicians and their supporters.

This is a first of it's kind and will be use as a reference in similar cases in the future. If ever it reach the US supreme court, the side which gives a better argument will win the case. Personally I think twitter users even if they are public figures should have the right to choose their followers.

I think he shouldn't the right to block them. Because you never know if the person he is blocking is crazy and will come after him.
