When my husband and I first got together many years ago he began leaving me little notes all around the house. I would often find one where I least expected it. They were stuck in my closet, inside a drawer, in the refrigerator. I in turn began to leave little notes for him. He loved it. Since that time we have left little notes to each other stuck on walls, in drawers and anywhere else we could think of. Believe it or not, we are still leaving those little love notes here, there, and everywhere.

That is so romantic, Susan. I like it when my husband surprises me with such love notes. And I do to him too.

It helps keep the two of you close. We never let an argument last overnight either.

@HazySue I totally agree. It is very sweet. I cannot sleep if we have an argument before going to sleep.

It is a wonderful thing. We make sure we have a date every week or so. These little things really help you keep the romance in your relationship.

@DesirousDreamer I learned what type of man I wanted to be with and that it can be hard work to keep a relationship going.

@HazySue Gosh, why can't people these days do this? That is my dream to have a relationship that is exactly like that

That is wonderful. I wish more couples would start a tradition like that, maybe then the divorce rate would decline.

Maybe it would. It would also help if they truly love each other.

Awww, that is so sweet of both of you to do that for each other! It demonstrates that you are both still thinking of each other and keeping the love alive. Good for both of you!

@HazySue I can imagine how exciting it is to find a note hidden somewhere! I'm sure it would bring a smile to my face if I found a little love note hidden somewhere!

@ridingbet it is sad. It would be a happier world if more people would just put that extra effort to make one another happy.

@HazySue That's true and a really great idea. When Vince was working he would occasionally bring me home a chocolate or a bunch of flowers. It was always so nice to receive such a gift.

That's sweet, we used to do the same thing. Its funny how things changed over the years, he'd start to write them, instead of printing, once our son began school, just to keep it private. I left him one today telling him that I couldn't find the remote to the apple tv-not exactly a "love" note, but I know that he'll know where it is.

You are communicating weather romantic or not. You have to keep communicating. It's the quickest way to ruin a marriage, not communicating.
