Are you cheap or just frugal?

I am not at all cheap, but I am frugal for sure. Cheap people are afraid to spend money, even if it's a need. Being frugal is having priority on how you intend to spend your money, so you can decide where you are going to spend.

Ah...you forget the third one...budget spender. A frugal person usually has budgetary limitation in mind so he / she tries to spend in such a way that he or she can save something and provide for future constraints. A budget spender plans everything, and does not necessarily suffer with financial constraints. Therefore, he has fixed amount set aside for everything. The limit is used to the fullest. The cheap one simply does not have any financial problems, but would still avoid spending and adjust to the lowest quality because he or she likes to count monies and finds more joy in looking at the increasing bank balance.

I think I am frugal as I don't want to pay more for something that somewhere else it's at a better price and being on a pension I have to be careful but I can also be generous and sacrificing when the need arises.

A cheap person will buy something that's $1.98 and replace it 20 times, thinking he's saved money. A frugal person will buy the same thing with better quality for $10 once. I'm cheaply frugal, myself.

I'm just extravagant. My father always told me I was pennywise and dollar foolish, and he was right. My mother always told me you get what you pay for, and she was right.

I think I am frugal.. and I am spending money wisely.

I am only frugal at certain stuff but definitely not for food or dating with my wife.

I am definitely frugal but I have know some very cheap people in my life. Not only are they cheap when it comes to money but cheap with their emotions too

I am sort of frugal, but won't buy an inferior product because it is cheaper than the good one.

Hello Alfredo. I am more frugal or thrifty. I only buy what I need but I still give myself rewards sometimes.

I am a frugal person. I always would assess a thing to buy if I really need it or have lots of it still. Or should I say, I am practical.

I am frugal. I don't like to waste but okay sometimes I am cheap too but not too cheap lol

I am not cheap, because I believe we get what we pay for. I don't think that I'm really frugal either, but I AM a penny pincher, or I would be if we still had pennies in the Canadian currency-which we do not. So, maybe I'm a nickel pincher.

@amadeo Things are so expensive here so I have to think about how to spend our money and also to make sure we have enough for us to live on. So, I am frugal.

I think I am both. Lol Because it will be depending on how much I need to let go. I am very cheap when it comes to buying gifts. And I am frugal when it comes to food and clothes.

I am frugal even though it makes me feel cheap sometimes. But once in a while I buy myself something so that I don't forget to treat myself.
