Getting control of my Abs (nice way to say belly fat)

I am getting to be an old guy, much as I hate to admit it. I'm a pretty active old guy though, with ping pong three times a week and I mow my own lawn. This week, my allergies allowed me to get back into walking, so I am going to try two to three miles at least three times a week.
I may join a local ping pong group too, which means I could play for several more hours a week.
If it were not for that mirror across from the shower, I might not notice this problem, but there it is and it isn't pretty. I still wear a size 34 waist, but that area above the waist is what is bothering me. I drink wine with dinner each evening and have a couple of beers a week in hot weather (Maybe a little less wine would help).
So, I will do some yoga plank poses (one of the best exercises for the stomach muscles) daily and increase other physical activities, cut back on my food portions.
My go to site for health questions is Mayo Clinic and what I read there about the dangers of belly fat is a motivator too.
https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/mens-health/in-depth/belly-fat/art-20045685.
Maybe I should take that mirror off the wall. I don't have much hair to comb anyway!

@JamesHxstatic I bet it would. Put it a little over the top so the abs will not show.

@JamesHxstatic For sure it works my muscles. That water aerobics class is a real work out.

Much easier than exercising or cutting back portions.

Yoga is a very good sport for the physical and mental health. What kind of allergies do you have?

@anikoonline I am pretty sure that mine (about the same timing) is grass seed pollen. My allergies are okay now, as usual by July 4th.

@JamesHxstatic I also have allergies, but I don't know exactly what triggers me. I usually say that everything that blooms is bad for my allergy. But I've just realized at the end of June that it is better. It is still with me, but it is not so bad as it is during spring.

That is a really good idea. We both like to cook though and that has been our biggest meal, but the mid-day meal should be the largest.
