How's the weather where you are?

I live in Bakersfield, California and it is currently hovering at 100 degrees. It has been very hot like that for the last 2 weeks straight. I was thinking of joining some friends for a late lunch or dinner this afternoon but can not think of getting out in the heat. So I think I'll stay home and enjoy my first real day off work in a long time.
I guess I finally have some time to catch up with all of you here on Mylot.

sadly, I did not have a day off after all. a family emergency came up. all is well now, except the weather which is hotter right now.

Yes, I believe they have gotten it under control but we keep getting some smaller fires popping up. Praying nothing gets out of hand.

I am down the road from you and it's in the 90s. Bakersfield and the valley are always hot this time of year.
