Good morning! I hope you're all doing well today. Things are great here! I woke up today thanks be to God, I have my coffee and I listened to my podcast.
Lately I have been listening to a podcast about working on our inner beauty. Each day we make vows/goals and we work on becoming what the word says. Today my vow is being a load lifter for my husband.
Here's what that entails...at least for me. I need to work on encouraging my husband more, not worrying or complaining to him, and making sure he knows his value in my eyes. Also, words cut deep-maybe not what we are saying but how we are saying it. (Something I need to work on as well, sarcasm or attitude in any circumstance is unbecoming).
Every day we are a work in progress and every day I want to please my Father in Heaven. If I please my Father I know my family will be pleased in return. Every day closer to God is a blessing!
Is there anything you need to work on to have more inner beauty?

I need to work on patience and trying to juggle my time between my husband and son , while caring for my parents.

@Tampa_girl7 Patience is a big one for everyone! Mostly for me waiting on God's timing is so hard.

I think internal beauty is reflected in what we say and do. We do as much good as we can. We try not to say anything that hurts people.

@caopaopao I agree, our words can cut like swords if we are not careful.

You worry to much. I remember back when I was in my 20`s and I watched Oprah every evening, When I ran the roofing company, and the show was about worrying and she said something that really did change my life.
She said " I don`t worry, I give my problems to God and he deals with them."
She was right! I was worrying about paying bills and stuff, when I should have prayed and went on with my life.
Since I did give my problems to God to fix for me, I became happier. I am no longer the borrower but the lender.
In the verse above, that is what a quiet spirit is about, in my eyes.
God is awesome, let him run your life.

@andriaperry I used to worry much more than I do now. Now I have learned to live in a spiritual mindset instead of my carnal mind. It has helped me to give my worries to God. I trust my Father. =)

A big part is just being confident.

@JohnRoberts I am God-fident, so I don't need to be confident. I am nothing without my Father.

I wish I would worry so much about thing that I have no control over. I work very hard but always feel like I never get anything done. That is life.

Oh yes, I sure do have things that need to be worked on. Holding a grudge is a big one. Instead, to forgive that individual, even when they never admit to their wrongs. Waiting for an apology could waste an entire lifetime! Some people don't ever say, 'I'm sorry.' I need to ask their forgiveness and show them how it's done God's way!
