More fake news?

I admit that I sometimes check the Huffington Post headlines before checking my email (I use AOL's free service). It's not a news source that I trust, but I want to know if WW III has started or if a wildfire is raging toward my home.
This morning, I saw a headline about American President Trump blaming California for the wildfires that have been burning up the State. I'm not a Trump supporter, even as I get more conservative in my old age, but my first thought was "more Trump-bashing. I'm tired of it."
The article claimed that Trump had made the following tweet:
"California wildfires are being magnified & made so much worse by the bad environmental laws which aren’t allowing massive amount of readily available water to be properly utilized. It is being diverted into the Pacific Ocean. Must also tree clear to stop fire spreading!"
It also claimed that Trump had made no mention of the seventh person to die in our wildfires. So now I'm in the rabbit hole, and check whether Trump actually made such a stupid tweet. Diverting water into the Pacific Ocean is what rivers and tributaries do. It's called "nature."
If he didn't, then I'll never read ANYTHING on Huffington Post again. If he did, then I'm going to scratch my head yet again and wonder how WE, yes WE, elected this man President of the United States of America.

I am Trump supporter. Reason? Trump is making dollar stronger, consequently gold weaker. What it does is that the currency of our competitor which country shall not be named becomes weaker, and the inflation in that country increases. While similar thing happens in our country as well, they have loads of gold, and the value comes down making their currency genuinely weak. They have to export at a cheaper rate, and our poor innocent citizens who are importing everything that used to be manufactured here, would be a tad better off, considering that elsewhere the prices of gas are punching us real hard. And this competitor would think twice about attacking us because we become the major importers for them. International relations are complex. I am good with Trump as long as he does something like this.

@TheHorse When banks started throwing out gold way back some 18 odd years ago, one country that cornered it was that neighbor. We have gold, there is no doubt about it. If you go to each house, of a middle class person you will find 250 - 300 gms of gold. Rich people have in kgs. That still does not mean we are anywhere close to this neighbor because they bought it at national level, parking all their surplus in gold. They benefited immensely with spike in gold prices. But for the last few years, gold prices are stagnant. With one of the famous Gold ETF companies having had problems recently, people are increasingly becoming skeptical about gold. Good for my country and in a way for the world. That metal simply is purposeless and looks hideous on some clothes.

We have a water shortage, but it appears there has been enough water to fight the fires. One problem, I heard, is that humidity has not been increasing at night, like it usually does, meaning the fires move along at a faster rate than usual.

@mythociate Did he say that in another tweet? That's what I worry about--taking things out of context. I think California is fairly proactive in its forest management. But I don't know the details.

That reminds me of Famous (In the past) politician who opposed to build a dam on a dam on a river to produce electricity with a pretext that, if dam is constructed and power is extracted from the water then the water will be of no good for irrigation!

! These politicians are like that!1 person likes this

@TheHorse I got what you were saying brother. I actually had to go reread what you wrote and I also do not want be a bully, same thing they do. I hope though at some point this ends. I am not sure how they , they never even had a plan for it to benefit the world, but I still stand by what I said because not sure many actually know the evil plans in the works. If they did they would shut this crap show down in a minute

@crossbones27 Glad you re-reread. I was "playing the idiot" intentionally, in some degree. I can't believe it's gone on this long.

I am inclined to support Trump. He can't be an idjit if he has been running a financial empire as big as his. He may be autocratic, and obnoxious in his mannerisms with women. But where finances are concerned, he knows and understands the data that is being presented to him, and implications of each action, financially. Given a second term, he may even make healthcare self-sustaining. I wish he had Obama's poise. Obama was good too mind you. He improved the skill set within the country. But if Trump gets more time, he might make America's homelessness disappear.

Who knows what is real or not. I support Trump because he is trying to make more jobs here again, why buy from others when we can do it here?
Have you ever thought people say stuff just to see who reads it?

I avoid the news these days because of fake news and all the bashings to our faulty government.

@TheHorse Because it's more bashing and less cooperation. If one wants something to work then they should find solutions instead of just bashing.

@toniganzon Bashing doesn't lead to much progress, does it? But Trump has struggled to establish productive relationships with non-dictators.

I have gotten to the point where I believe what the news reports, check to make sure it's correct, and then shake my head in disgust when 98.9 percent of the time it's true.
We are a disgrace to the world stage right now.

@TheHorse I also think (as well as hope) that most everyone else realizes that what's going on in our politics doesn't represent the whole of our nation, and it's beliefs and history.

@ScribbledAdNauseum If someone thinks I'm a moron just because I'm American, I'll do my best to surprise them.

I have to admit, Huffington Post is not my go-to source for credible news at all.
In regards to our "readily available water", Nestle is pumping it out of the ground and selling it for a profit.

It's sad but nowadays some news are fake, it's better to get information from the reliable sources.

@ihasaquestion Maybe I'm blind. But I hear a lot of lies and half-truths from politicians in general.
