I turned on the TV while I checked the weather and news (the temperature is better and the news aren´t) and left it in the Discovery channel.
I saw there actress Julia Roberts, a favorite of mine, But not walking on a red carpet in an elegant dress.
She was, in fact, clad in rather wrinkled and maybe dirty shirt and jeans and a horrible hat to keep away from the sun.
She was in Kenya, but not even in a city. She is taking vaccines to small children from the civilization across plains and a river infested with crocodiles to far away villages. She had to go across it by a long bridge made with cords.
I thank celebrities like Julia Roberts that use their fame to make a better world. Because it is not only the amount of vaccines that she is delivering. She is also delivering an ideal and a pledge. Good for her!

It's so nice to hear about celebrities doing good in the world rather than the focus being on their crazy Hollywood lifestyles. I like Julia Roberts

Me too. I am not interested in celebrities dressing up to receive awards, but this is something else.

She works for the UNICEF and in this documentary she is taking vaccines (against polio, diarrhea and other ailments) To remote villages in Kenya. She has aslo given money to charitable movements from what I read.

You're right. It is wonderful to learn of celebrities doing this. I hope it encourages others to help the less fortunate.
