A good way to do this?

As I drive to work or pass by this highway, I see such damaged car pitched highalong the highway. They have different signs on them such as ‘the passengers in this car died On the spot’. I wonder if it is effective to convince our drivers to drive safe! Sometimes we hear of so bad accidents all due to recklessness. How is road safety in your area?

Our roads are pretty safe, but when there are plenty of tourists in summer accidents happen.

That looks effective. I'm not hearing about a lot of accidents, so that might be a good thing.

Every year MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) have a program that has wrecked vehicles and similar signs with sayings on them about driving while drinking and the accidents that can happen and give a number of how many accidents or deaths are caused by drunk drivers on a yearly basis. Now our state is also big on texting while driving. It is illegal in NC to text while driving but they have several commercials about accidents caused by texting and driving.

@aureliah I highly doubt that we could ever achieve worldwide SANE drivers. Too many people are way too distracted.

@Shellyann36 That is impossible but I wish every driver would do their best to be SANE

Actually being on phone is one of the road accident causes. This should be illegal everywhere in the world but some drivers believe they have enough experience to do this as they drive until something crazy happens. I just wish every driver would be "sane" on the road

The Monsoon and flood damaged many roads here. All types of drivers are here. Keep away from the rash drivers is good.

Wow! That is a good way to give a warning to speeders. Our roads are fairly safe, although crowded. There always seems to be a breakdown or accident on the highways.

@aureliah It's always the driver's fault, not the road's.

The good thing is most roads around here are relatively safe but public service drivers tend to be reckless

They do similar things in the States, although not usually alongside the highway. I think it does stop and make people think.

@aureliah Too many people falsely believe it won't happen to them...this reminds them it can happen to anyone.

I think they will just see it as an ugly car on display and it won't be something that would scare them.

There were cases in which drunk drivers drove into a wrong (opposite direction) lanes, and killed others who were completely innocent. Sad in those cases.

in some countries, they put a wooden cross and flowers. seeing a wrecked car i guess is a good reminder, but i guess it also brings back bad memories for or upsets those involved in crashes or their loved one.
