There Is a Lot of Talk About Bears in Our Community Newspaper This Week...

That is one reason I really want out of here. Just the thought of bears wandering the property makes me really nervous and I was just reading an article this morning over breakfast that THIS is the time when they start piling on the calories so that they can go into hibernation. They can eat anywhere from 8000 calories a day to 20,000! And they are spending a lot of time searching for more food. Apparently they love wild plums and our property is lined with the trees. The plums are pretty small which leads me to think that they have to eat a ton of them to get anywhere near that many calories. Sad to say that an elderly man was picking some on his property last week and lets just say that the bear won. :( Just a few more days before we head back to living in a town again. If you had the opportunity to choose... where would you want to live? I really thought that I would love living in the country with all the privacy that it entails, but not so much anymore. But that is just me! We are seeing a lot of moving trucks on the highways heading to rural areas... and someone just did buy our property!
