collection center for fishing lines

These devices are posted around the fishing lake at the Nature Center. It is a place to put lost fishing lures, lines and hooks. No one wants to tangle with these things unexpectedly and no one wants to injure an animal by leaving it lying in the grass or hanging from the trees. It could tangle turtles or strangle squirrels or puncture people. I am glad someone thought of these collection stations.

That's a really good idea. In some public toilet blocks here they have collection bins for 'sharps' (used needles). It's a shame there is a need for them but it is better than people just leaving them lying around.

Diabetics and others who have to take injectable legal medicines need that as well.

Some of the fishing piers I've visited have set up similar devices for collecting broken pieces of fishing line and stray hooks, etc. I agree with you, they are a great idea.
