Fragrant household

I am at work making apple butter in the crock pot again. In addition, I picked cinnamon basil and infused water to make whole cranberry sauce. Yummy. Never tried it with basil, but it will be good. Two pint jars plus a little extra. I will be putting boneless, skinless chicken thighs in the oven in a minute. I will put lemon pepper seasoning on half of it. We will have two or three meals from this. I am trying a bagged meal with the lemon part. It is lemon and barley chicken with sauce, just add chicken. I hope to make some more fragrant things tonight. I love these fall flavors and smells.

@amadeo Same as Mike Alfredo, I like to cook on my traditional gas stove.

When crock pots first came out you could not take the crock out of the electric part. Many people felt this kept them from getting really clean. You can do most everything on the stove if you prefer.

I like a lot the smell of cinnamon, I will prepare an apple strudel today, it rains and it's pretty cold, it will be good with a warm custard sauce.

I love apple butter. I would make it with my grandmother all the times. I do not have a crock pot to make it.

I can smell you house now, because I know those smells I have muscadine juice waiting on me and I have 4 bags of cranberries waiting on me in the deep freezer. But I have to finish cleaning before I move to something else. The first week of the month is here so I will be swamped.

When hubby was still merchandising he would catch sales on seasonal stuff. He once brought me twenty bags of cranberries at less than a dollar a bag. I still have some in my freezer, but not many.
