Hello there! My name is Doodles, the cat. I want you to know that I was a very, very good boy this evening.
My grammy and grampy left me alone in their house and in charge. I did not beat up Kuma, my sister, because I couldn’t get upstairs where she stays, due to a baby gate installed at the foot of the staircase. That means I couldn’t gobble up her food, even though it’s the same as mine. For some reason, hers always tastes better to me.
I ate my own dinner, after I ate the yummy treats Grammy always gives me before leaving the house. I think she feels sad to leave me alone. The treats do make her feel better, but they make me chubby.
I was very good and napped after I gave myself a bath. Grammy exhausts me with all the times she takes me outside for walks. Grammy left Bach playing on our Echo. She doesn’t realize classical music puts me to sleep instantly.
I have excellent hearing, as you can see by my beautiful ears in the photo. I heard the garage door open when Grammy and Grampy returned home from dinner and dancing and greeted them at the door with a big yawn and an even bigger stretch. I didn’t want them to know how happy I was to see them.
Grammy picked me up and got lipstick all over me when she kissed me. Now I have to take another bath.
I just wish they took me with them. I had my tuxedo on and thought I looked so handsome.

@DianneN Doodles dear we're a match made in heaven. I can't smell things!! Yeah. A human who can't smell so you eat all those salmon treats that you like and I also will never be caught in lipstick. I wish you well with those hairballs. My feline crew says they're no fun.

Hello, human person. I will inform my grammy about Cat T.V. I hope grammy won't get upset with me if I attack the TV cats. I am an alpha male. Grammy and Grampy had to remove their cat statue from their garden. I hissed at it and slapped it in the face a few times before they caught on. Meow to you!

It's my vacation home, and I make the best of it. I'm looking forward to moving into my daddy's home when the old folks leave for Florida. I AM too chubby, and it's all my Grammy's fault. That's what my daddy tells her. But I do know how to get treats from her easily. I control everything she does. I stare at her. Just look at my staring eyes. Meow!

I am a very handsome boy, and I have been told that many, many times. That is why my head is so large, and my belly, and my claws, and my teeth. and my tail. Please inform Grammy that her lipstick and lip balm are making me very sticky. I meowed heartily last night when Grammy got hair stuck on her lips after kissing me goodnight. Purr to you, kind lady.

Humans are good for food and treats and opening the door. I have figured out a way to get outside when I want. I sit up close to Grammy or Grampy, even my Daddy, and stare and stare and stare until they can't take it anymore. Then I dance right out the door! To be honest, my singing is much better, Milo. I only sing with my mommy. Grammy has a voice like a crow. Thank you for chatting with me, Milo. You are a true blue and good friend. Purr

Thanks, Janet. My Grammy approved. I'm on meds and my little heart has improved somewhat. Grammy must put me on a diet, but she gives in too easily to my demands. And boy, do I rule her! I did notice a slight decrease in my treats. I can count, you know. Meow!

But I like to beat up my sister. I feel powerful. Grammy yells at me and tells me to be nice, because my sister has a big boo boo. I think she gets more food! Not fair. I dress up daily, but only to impress the chipmunks and little critters. Daddy won't let Grammy and Grampy take me out. He's in charge. Meow and purr to you.

@DianneN Doodles, they want what is best for you. Grammy told me about your sister's boo-boo, and you do need to be nice to her. I heard you ate all her food this morning and Grammy had to get up really early to get her more. And you ate her treats. If you ask really nice, maybe Grammy will give you a special treat.
I'm sure the chipmunks and critters appreciate you dressing up just for them. Meow and purr to you too.

I envy your carefree life and you have such good care takers. You definitely look handsome with those tuxedos on and aren't they the natural ones??
I know you had a good self control to not cross the baby gate and trouble your sister.

I do think I'm the cat's meow, but Grammy wouldn't remove the gate at all, even when I made very sad faces at her. She is a meanie. I just wanted a little of my sister's food to help tide me over until the next meal. My tummy growls, I sneeze, belch, dream, snore, and expel gas. Food helps me do all that and more. Now I'm going to take a nap. Grammy just put on Bach again. Sheesh!
