Is it worthy to buy a stand mixer?

I have a bread machine and actually I use it to make the dough most of the time. I shape the dough after it is ready and then bake it in the oven since the bread will taste better in this way.
It can really save me much time when I make the bread at night after work. Now I have a problem, that is it is too difficult to cope with very moist dough in this way. Some kinds of bread are made from very moist dough. Now I wonder whether it is worthy to buy a stand mixer as it shall work better in this way.
Does anybody have a stand mixer? If so, does it work well for all kinds of dough?

I don't think that a stand mixer will give you better results than your bread machine does already. Ones which are sturdy enough to knead bread dough properly are quite expensive and, for me at least, wouldn't justify the expense and the worktop space if I were just making bread.

I decided to buy a stand mixer with a reasonable price as the beginning. I reviewed the users' feedback and most of them are positive. It works faster than a bread machine a lot and this is why I consider it because I don't have much time at night to prepare some kinds of dough.

@owlwings Exactly what I was typing. If it's not powerful it will not be better than the bread machine. A good one, powerful enough to knead bread is expensive. I only know a couple of brands that do a powerful home mixer, the cost is around 1,000$. I use my hands.

I have yet to bake bread I shall first try doing it by hand and if I succeed then I suppose it would be worth investing in a machine.

@allknowing I don't have much time for it at night. So I always depend on the machine to do things efficiently for me.

If your dough is too moist, add some extra flour. I love making bread in my bread machine.

Well, if you want the stand mixer to make the dough, keep in mind the power is important. A 600 W power will not do a good job, 1000 W is a minimum, better 1500 W. This kind of mixers are very expensive (around 800$). I have but it's not powerful enough.

Since there is a big promotion here soon, so last night I paid for the deposit to a stand mixer. I will pay for the balance on Nov.1 and I shall receive it several days after that. It is 1000W. Hopefully it can do a better job than my bread machine. If it goes well, I will upload my work here

I don't have a stand mixer at home but I am sure it is a good investment for someone who likes making bread, etc.
