Don't Laugh It Still Makes Good Coffee

Years ago the hubby and I purchased a band new beautiful little percolator coffee maker. We were thrilled with the delicious coffee that it made.
Believe it or not, we still have that same little percolator. It's a little batter and dented but we love it just the same. It still makes a hearty cup of coffee.
We can't seem to let it go. It travels with us when we go camping and I am thinking that it always will. How amazing is it that this little item has worked perfectly for us for about 40 years or so and our new and improved coffee makers last a few years?
I think it is an example of how our appliances used to be built to last. This little pot goes under the title 'oldie but goodie' in my opinion.
What do you think?

Companies actually used to have pride in making durable long lasting products.

Oldie but goodie... I agree with that most of the item today is just disposable.

@simplfred true, they are more concerned with the bottom line than with quality.

That's exactly the pot my mom used to make coffee. I have it packed away somewhere as I consider it an heirloom .
I'm sure my Keurig falls short when it comes to making a perked cup of coffee
