Each year in the fall we fall back, sort of speaks, with our time. I never have liked this but no choice but to go along. However there are some states who do not participate in the Daylight Savings Time changes in the US. So if you are not living in one of these states, get ready next week on November 4th.
Did you know that? Do you know what states? Arizona, Indiana and Hawaii. I hope we will all join them one day and leave the clocks alone. Comments?

I really hate it because I am not a morning person so they get the light and I get the dark.

It was initially done so that the farmer's had more light depending on the time of year. I think there's more to it than that, but that is part of it. I believe Europe has already changed their clocks.

@CarolDM Yes but now the farmer's can use electric light in the fields if necessary!

The majority of Canada will also fall back next weekend.
We have an area in Quebec, and part of Manitoba that doesn't change their clocks.
I'm so used to it that if they took it away at this stage I don't think it would have a lot of bearing on my (old) life.

I wish they would leave it alone too. There is many stories why they started doing it, but none make sense now.

I just don't understand the reason behind it. I don't care which one we go with, just quit jumping back and forth!

We will have to change our clocks on the 4th, too. I don’t like less sunlight, but it is pretty darn dark out in the mornings. I have to begin my walks with a flashlight. And it’s a big issue for the children who have to wait in the dark for early school buses. I can’t wait until we skip the clocks ahead one hour.

As Anna said, we did this the weekend just gone. If the EU does decide as a whole to cease changing the hour, it will put us in a different time zone from our nearest neighbour the UK, including most likely Northern Ireland. This has never happened before, in the entire history of time

@CarolDM And let us set our clocks by the sun - just like in the old days before the trains

Yeah I can't wait to change the clocks again. Thanks for the reminder. Yeah I wish we could pick one time and stick to it.
