Nobody Is Killing ANYONE

It happens from time to time. We all get lyrics screwed up. What can you do? I remember back in the day, my sister and I, the rebels that we were. Glam rock was all the thing back then, aside from other great 80s stuff going on. And so when the song Mr. Roboto from Styx came out we thought this was a bad ass song to be sure.
I mean, at the end, that outro demanding to "Kill Roy. Kill Roy. Kill Roy." We were like true rock rebel bad asses—not even in our teens. We'd hear the song on the radio and we'd be shouting "Yeah, kill him. KILL HIM!"
Rock on dudes and dudettes.
I can't remember when we realized that no one was killing anyone in the song, and the robot's name was Kilroy.
Oh well. At least we have fun with the story.

@scarlet_woman It still hit for Styx, but I think it was also the end of their careers. Maybe it was the song, or maybe they just had their day and that was it. To be fair, Styx was always sort of an odd group, even before Mr. Roboto.

That is funny and is it not such a let down when that happens?
I used to try to sing lyrics that I thought were to be true but stopped when I was laughed at in the Marines by all my roommates and neighbors. It was a rap song and while not big on rap, liked that song. It was also 1999. So it made sense for the lyrics to be 99 99. but guess it was Nah, Nah.

Compare Styx to the ESPN media singer darlings is like comparing a broken down auto (Rap) to a super new good looking auto (Rock and Roll).
