Although there are many disadvantages to live in the big cities, such as high pressure, high cost, crowded environment etc. However, there are still some advantages like better schools and hospitals, more job opportunities, convenient traffic, higher salaries etc. I still think it is luckier to be born in the big cities, otherwise most people will not run to here.

It is easier to find jobs in the big cities, and there are more schools to choose from. On the other hand cities are more crowded and noisy and rent is expensive. I have lived in big cities as well as villages. Right now I live in a village, and I like living here. The city is not that far away, and it is easy to go there if you have a car.

Here the villages can be far away from the big cities a lot. The traffic is not very convenient.

@youless Europe is not as big as China, living in the countryside is not a problem because the big cities are very close.

I much prefer to live in the country. I suppose a big city has some advantages but it is always so busy and noisy.

I think it may depend on different countries. I think in my country it is harder to live in the countryside.

@JudyEv The big city is busy, noisy, polluted and with more criminality.

It depends on your preferences. There are those that love living in the countryside so they can have an easy and simple life. Quiet and away from the noises of the big city. But if you like the fast lifestyle, modern and convenient to many services like schools, hospitals, malls and many more then you are best fitted to live in a city.

In general, the elders may prefer to the countryside life much more because it is quiet. However, the hospitals are not as well as the big cities. So this is also a problem.

I was born in a big city and I think that my cousins who were born in the country side were a lot more lucky.

@LadyDuck The city children usually have many different classes to attend. On the other hand, countryside children will have more free time after school.

@youless They have no more free time, the school hours are the same, but when they go back home they can play outside in their garden. In the big city we lived inside an apartment and it was too dangerous to go outside due to the heavy traffic. From the countryside they bring people to the big cities if they need to go to the hospital.

I live in a nice sized city, not too large or small. I prefer smaller cities. There are still a lot of advantages here as it is still a good size, just not as large as some cities in the US that have a million people or more.

I have been born and bred in the countryside but I have lived in the city due to education so I know both lives well. I don't know how my childhood would be in the city as I really enjoyed it in the countryside. Playing with mud, swimming in rivers, eating wild fruits and vegetables, it was so much fun. As for children in the city, most of them are used to watching TV or playing device games. As for the opportunities available in the city, they are fantastic compared to that of the countryside. So I think growing up in both places is just great, both have advantages and disadvantages.

You are right. The children have more outdoor activities in the countryside than in the city.
