Today we are back at it, more doctors but he is improving. Since he has to get the meds IV there are student nurses, they are so funny, But I can tell they have never made a bed in their life! I taught both of them to do "hospital bed corners!" I am not nurse nor have I ever been a student, however, I did make beds my whole life, since I was a little kid. Life is strange today, do people have any common sense?

Nope. My sister taught me hospital corners when I was around four. Not that I am meticulous about them, but hubby is.

No I don't think they do. Especially the younger generation (under 30s.) I slipped and fell in Sears last week because the employees who were supposed to clean up a spill just left the open cleanser bottle sitting out in the middle of the floor and wandered off without mopping up the spill, then they acted like they couldn't care less and wouldn't take responsibility when I confronted them on it. I've noticed that seems to be the attitude a lot of younger people have in the workplace these days. No common sense and don't care that they're lacking in it.

I'm happy he's getting better. You're kidding. Nurses that can't make a bed? I've been making my bed since I was like, 12. Hospital corners and all

Gosh, I learned those in the Navy. God forbid they weren't right in boot camp otherwise it was push ups for me. And yes, they DID do the quarter toss trick as well. If it didn't bounce...

@andriaperry They did. Or so, that's what I would like to believe. I do marvel at how less manly...or well, grown up some men seem to be who never were in the military. It definitely has an effect on how you view the world and life, and what you find important.

I remember learning to make hospital corners when I made beds as a volunteer candy striper back in my younger days. Do they even have such volunteer positions as candy stripers to learn such tasks today?

Your last line. Most people have no idea how to make a bed if there is not elastic in the sheet anymore. Glad Tony is doing better.

I think nurses were also taught how to do it. But of course there are housekeeping staff in a hospital who does the work.
