Diary 22nd To 24th November 2018

Diary Thursday 22nd November 2018 I did my daily job searching and sent my complaints to the community centre regarding their decision to not regard me as a true volunteer despite presenting talks to their members and therefore disqualifying me from the Xmas party laid on for volunteers. Diary Friday 23rd November 2018 A lot of writing and job searching from home today and trying to contact the council regarding possible reductions to payments I make to them. They asked me to phone for an appointment about this but no one there answered the phone all day. Diary Saturday 24th November 2018 Despite the previous letter telling me to phone them the Council sent me a letter telling me my payment reduction has gone through OK. Yay! Ironically they may be paying me too much so I will be querying it to make sure (they can claim it back at any time if they overpay you). I got a draft of my pub signs book through from my publisher for editing, which I was able to do quickly and send back (electronically). There could be several more edits before publication in the Spring, but my book now has an ISBN which is very exciting. I did some shopping and watched some of the Christmas Lights Switch On show in the city centre but as all the entertainments were aimed at children, I came home before the lights were switched on. Lovely about your book now Arthur finally having an ISBN. Yes I know they can take that over payment at any time. I hope that wont happen on top of everything else.

If they overpay you then they can always take it back but if you overpay them then too bad, right?

@ledante yes, they would be more likely to deduct my overpayments from future bills than actually send me back the money

@ledante it can be a pain especially if they owe you a lot of money

That's very good news about your book. Paperback Hero was one of Hugh Jackman's first films (1999) and featured a truck-driver who wrote soppy romances while driving.

@arthurchappell It was a bit of fun. And Hugh Jackman was a bit of eye candy for us ladies.
