The Grim Reaper paid a visit to our street last week. A neighbour passed after a sudden and short illness, and many cars filled our little cul-de-sac for a few days. Along with a group of neighbours, I dropped in to pay my respects to the person who lived 2 doors up from us, but about whom we found we really knew very little. The time we have is so fleeting, yet we seem to know so little about those in our own street, never mind in our daily lives...
I found this short work, probably part of a student assignment for some course or other, but it suited my mood the other day, I thought I would share.

I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor, pgn.
It's not unusual to find out you know very little about someone who only lives a few doors away from you. Most people keep to themselves more than we realize.
That video is a bit on the odd side, if you ask me. Very odd ending to it, too!
