Planting Trees Cancelled

Plans have changed on this cold Monday morning. Was suppose to have trees planted today. But just got the call, due to the weather, the plans are cancelled until Sunday. The landscaper said the trees had a thin coat of ice on them and to move and plant them, there is a risk of them breaking. So I insisted on waiting. I would like them last week, but want them all in one piece.

I was up early waiting for nothing. Well maybe not for nothing. I saw lots of blue jays at my bird feeder. I got out in the 21 degree wind chill weather and fed them. They must love my deck feeder. And I enjoy seeing them.
That is what my day will be now. Staying indoors watching the birds.
Plans with you?

Your trees look so pretty in your picture. We just have a rainy day today and thankfully it's above freezing so no icy conditions to worry about. Sorry you have to wait for your trees to be planted.

I do have a camera and I have tons of photos. This one was taken from my deck. Here is a link to an older post I did on here about the Blue Jays...
I enjoy feeding the backyard birds all year. I also keep fresh water out for them. During the winter I go out and make sure the frozen water stays fresh. For...

So sorry to hear of the delay of the planting of the trees.
It is bitter cold here as well.
I hope your day is super and you may get a bit of a rest in as you were up so early.

So did you get to plant them later. I hope the weather cleared up in later days to go ahead with your tree planting plans. You were so kind to go out and feed those lovely birds in such chill.

It reminds me of the saying "Man proposes but God disposes" In your case it is nature that disposed of your planting plan.
