When I was a young kid, Santa is a part of growing up to be a better person. I tried to be a good kid and wanted to be rewarded by him. It was a part of believing in him and wanted to see him up close. A fantasy that created a happy childhood.
“Do you believe in Santa?”
“Do you think Santa will give you a gift before the end of this year?”

I stopped believing in Santa when I was 6 years old, our teacher told us that Christmas is not about gifts, that our parents buy the gifts and we must be grateful to them for what we receive and remember that Christmas is all about the Births of Jesus. I think that too many takes this as a commercial thing.

It is believed that the essence of Saint Nicholas helps others to be as he was generous and giving, Santa Clause works that way. It's like to capture the "spirit" of how Santa is as we give to each other as Santa would. Christmas is when we celebrate Christ's birth and the many good that he brought to us when he got born. I too was very good, so I hope Santa will be generous too with me.

I remember that for my son. He would always look forward for Christmas time and expect a gift from him. It took us four years before we finally spilled out the truth about the gifts. It was well taken by him and I guess he was matured enough to figure it out.

I used to believe in Santa, I was so excited when he came to visit us. My cousin was wearing a Santa costume, and it was very convincing, I didn't recognize him at all

@Shavkat I think your nephew and niece would enjoy that when they are old enough. My cousin did it again when my brother was a child and he was good at playing Santa. I have many happy memories from that time. We used to celebrate christmas Eve with my grandparents, my aunt, my uncle and my cousins.

When we were young, we believed there's a Santa who will give us gifts on Christmas day. Let the children have it too!
