A night of loud downpours

There was no thunder last night, rarely is in Oregon, but several very loud downpours woke me and they have continued today, then the sun comes out for twenty minutes and it warms up nicely.
I decided some additional exercise was needed so headed over to where the Blazing Paddles ping pong bunch was playing and spent about two hours batting and chasing ping pong balls around, then did a bit of grocery shopping and headed home for lunch.
Anne did her Tai Chi class this morning and said it was hard after a two week break.
Now nearly 3PM here, rain is falling again, glad I am inside on myLot!

@JamesHxstatic I've noticed the same hoax over the past 20 years here in Northern California. At least it makes fetching horses from a pasture easier.

@teamfreak16, A friend was wondering about this too. Snopes says it is a digital fake. Lee was fast, but not that fast.

When I was stationed in Germany, a couple guys in my platoon started hanging out with a guy who was a German ping pong champion. Oh man, was he good!

I so far have not done yoga. I think I would like it because I need to find a way to have a peaceful life. I used to like ping pong but have not done it in ages. Not sure about Tai Chi.

@CarolDM We are in western Oregon, 60 miles from the Pacific and 60 miles from the snowy Cascade mountains, so are pretty mild, except when it gets crazy and goes below zero for a week with ice.

Looks like you had a great day James. Just reading your post makes me think you are doing great with your life and it all seems under control, right? I am new here and saw you post and made me wanna interact, have a good evening! I feel the same way as Anne I had a month and a half break from the gym and came back last week and my muscles hurt a little lol.

We hardly have downpours in winter.Recently it has been bright and sunny.It is no mean feat to play ping pong for two hours at your age.

We had a heavy downpour of rain last night but today it was sunny again but the temps had gone down to the 50s and I was cold all day.

They are common in eastern Oregon and in the mountains, but in the west thunder is always a surprise. There is plenty of humidity in our rainy season, but temperatures don't vary too much.
