Last day of the month, last day of the week. The list had grown.

Today I had to go to the supermarket. I had been putting it off while the list had grown. I know that every trip tp the supermarket means a lot of things in the cart that were not in the list and that I would be even ashamed to write down. But finally, today, I decided that this would be a good way of walking and I got the bags. Now they don´t give plastic bags to put our purchase so there are some bags that will have to do for a long time. When I was young I had some canvas bags I sewed and I found one of them. Leticia won´t use them though: she thinks they are grosse Although I bought a lot of things that tempted me, I spent about twice as much as Claudia did buying about 3 things from a small market near her house. I told her that man must be rich: he sells third class veggies, bread, soft drinks and ciggies and Claudia spent a lot. I filled my cart and even bought some meat of sale, Nutella and other goodies I never buy I´m ready for at least half of the month with no important buys. Do you make your purchases weekly or monthly?

We mostly shop each week but don't make a special trip in to town. Our shopping is nearly always tied in with something else.

I feel very happy when the bulk shopping is out of the way for the month. That means usually dry goods and cleaning products.

@marguicha We stock up on specials when they come up and just buy whatever else we need week by week.

I make a big buy at the beginning of the month (or, like today, at the end of a month) and then I buy only small things that are not quite important.

We need to do the bulk of our shopping monthly now as we each get paid monthly. We usually go to a store when we go to an appointment. The more often we go to the store, the more we spend that we do not necessarily need.

Same here. Buut I buy small things when I go for walks. I like fresh bread and I run out of eggs easily.

I get tempted at the supermarket. That´s why I try to stay away from it if I don´t have the need.
