A disastrously embarrassing day as on my way to a voluntary work co-teaching assignment when a colleague noticed what I didn't. My trousers were splitting up the front. With no time to get changed I could hardly address the students, so I decided it was best to pull out of the assignment and come home. I'm so stoopid! Not noticing it myself means everyone will probably find out about it. Doh! Youtube - Madness - Baggy Trousers Arthur Chappell

I had that happen to me with a pair of shorts once. I was about a half mile from home and had to walk back through a busy downtown that way. I feel your pain!

@teamfreak16 it felt more painful than funny - I feel like whatever I wear on future visits I'll be scrutinized and inspected closely

Oh my goodness, you were lucky that your colleague made you notice the problem.

It happens. I recently walked to the main road, went on a 4-mile bus journey, walked the length of the hospital, sat in two waiting rooms, saw the doctor, waited again, had a consultation with a nurse lasting over an hour - and only then noticed that my flies were undone. Sounds like your malfunction may have been a bit more noticeable, though.

@asfarasiknow just a small area of pink skin - not in itself too directly an exposure but enough to say that I needed to cancel my plans

Oh poor thing. Hang on to the thought that maybe not a lot of people noticed. Sometimes they don't see these things even when they are right in front of them.

@amadeo the one who noticed and pointed it out to me was one of the paid staff ladies in charge of the project.
