my country, indonesia is nor rich or developed country. some people is rich, but mostly have to work hard for good living. in my city, the minium salary for worker set by the local government is 110 dollar, and it is only 250 dollar in Jakarta, the capital of indonesia. if we want to have decent life, at least we have to make minimum 300 dollars in a month. how about your country?

You cannot live here with 300$ a month. Switzerland is a pretty rich country, the minimum salary is a little more than 1,000$ a month.

Sorry, but telling us about the minimum salary doesn't make sense. You have to mention how much the basic costs for a decent life are in your country: rent, insurance, food, petrol (gas), electricity, etc. In Germany, you can't even rent *one* room for $300/month! If you live in a big city, you may get an empty garage for this.

@nawala123 In Germany, two people can eat *once* in a middle class restaurant for this sum of money. You see, that comparing salaries doesn't make sense without having detailed information about the prices for things.

In the U.S. in 2017 it was right around a little under $62,000 a year. But that's household income. I won't tell you what our income is, but it is far much more than that. Median is just an average. My income also includes, besides my wife's job and my job, income from dividends and proceeds from the sale of stock, collected premiums on stock options I sell, income from online activities, and other sources which are multiple. In my country $300 in a month would mean I would probably be homeless.

I'm not sure what the basic wage here is but I think it would be a lot more. Of course, living is more expensive here too.
