I have written a lot this morning, but not precisely a post for mylot. I have been making a list for the farmer´s market with Leticia. I will start my diet as much as I can this year that is ending.
Yesterday, when Dixie came, I asked her if she had asked for an appointment for us with her Nutritionist. She did not have time, she said, as a friend-sister is in her death bed and she has been there a lot.
But then I started to talk about her experience with the nutritionist and she told me that from June up to now she had slimmed down 10 kilos. And considering that she was just a little overweighed, the results have been the best.
So I´m not going to wait for next year. I will start today. Tomorrow we will go with Leticia specially for fish. And we will not fry it

Going for a not very strict diet, usually from one to two kilos per month is good result. I started "dieting" at the beginning of December, because I know I will eat some sweets and appetizers during Christmas. I am down 1 kg and half in 17 days, I will go on, I prefer to be a bit under my usual weight for the holidays.

I will cut on some things. No more homemade mayo. I have some bought one, but I don´t eat it. And I will not buy salami or the like for some time. Maybe for a year.

@LadyDuck I have cut down on my portions and I am eating small amounts of bread. But I need to cut down on fat as you said a few days ago.

Good idea to start now. I am not on any particular diet, but I really want to cut out as much sugar as possible (not easy with all the holiday treats). I know I pay for it every time when I indulge too much and for too long . . . might as well get a head start on eating healthier NOW.

It mind over matter, if you really want to lose weight, you will lose weight. Often some try it and then stop and nothing good happens. I found that forgiving ourselves and not giving up is the way to go. Slow and long is success for you. You just have to want to do it.

I agree. When I set my mind to stop smoking, I could do it.

I will try to do that. I went up 10 kilos with my chemo as I did not do any exercise at all.

I think she left out bread and sweets. But I did not have time to ask her all.
