Monday I made Halushki which I told a few of here about. It was mainly egg noodles, cabbage & onions. It was very bland probably because I hate pepper so I left that ingredient out. My son helped me prepare it and eat it. I absolutely love any time my kids spend with me.
I got a $25 e-gift card from Mypoints.
My boyfriend was bummed because he only got a small raise and his superior (I think) gave him a terrible review.
Tuesday he messaged me and said out of the blue the two owners of the company came to talk to him. They went over the review and talked around and decided to give him a $3.50 raise which puts his income at $25 an hour.
He worked so hard this year pretty much running the whole department, working on weekends which was extra and taking classes for certifications plus pulling off a major project. He absolutely deserves this!
I let my son get Instagram and he has been so excited about it. I have his password and follow him to make sure everything is safe. He isn’t posting personal photos either just video game stuff and drawings.
My sister had a doctors appointment today that was 2 hours away so I had her littlest child, my niece who is 2 for the day. She was an angel! We went and got groceries, dropped off a present to my grandmas house and a card and candy bar to my mom’s boyfriend who is recovering from hernia surgery. We watched a ballet movie together called “Hope Dances”.
After school my nephew came over to play outside and play video games with my son.
Last night and tonight I watched two movies while wrapping presents. I even wrapped my boyfriends sons presents for him.
I only have Amazon Prime for one more day so wanted to watch some movies on there. I watched “12 days of Christmas Eve” and “Love at the Christmas Table”.
Tomorrow my daughter is taking in to school all the presents she bought for her friends. She has been so excited for this for weeks to surprise them all on the last day before Winter break. After school she is going to her friends house which is their weekly tradition. The photo is of the gifts she is giving out tomorrow.

Cooking with your son must be fun. That is one thing I would want to experience.

@yoalldudes both my kids used to enjoy cooking with me when they were little but not much now that they are 11 & 14. I am thankful for any time they spend with me now!

@LadyDuck I am very happy for him but hope he will start setting money aside for savings. He spends more then he saves which is very different from how I was raised and how I am.
These are actually the gifts my daughter wrapped for her friends. She did do a good job!

It sounds like things are pretty good in your world right now. I had Haluski once at a football game, but I had to ask what it was.

@snowy22315 that seems like an unusual dish for a football game. Here they mostly sell nachos and hotdogs.

Good to know that your boyfriend did get his due. Very often a hard worker does not get the appreciation and reward that is his due.
Doing things with kids is fun, I miss those time. Mine have left the nest

@responsiveme the minimum wage here is only $7 an hour so he is doing very well at $25 an hour! Even the LPNs here only make $12 an hour.
I used to love everything when my kids were small. They loved to help with everything.

I am glad the owners knew what a valuable employee your boyfriend is. Those presents are really cute.

@GardenGerty the owners are very kind and make a cake each month to celebrate the birthdays that month. They also pay for the medical which would be very costly elsewhere. He would be paid quite a bit more at another company but he would lose the medical and those wonderful owners kindness!

@Courtlynn I wish I got to see my niece more. I am always busy doing cyber school with my son and she is at the sitters while her mom works. On holidays I see the rest of my sister's kids but not usually her little one who stays at the father's side of the families parties while we are having ours. I did get to see her this morning and give her presents though. I wished l could have seen her at dinner though as well.
Over the summer I wanted to take her to do things but our schedule never lined up that I could. It rained so much this summer visiting a park would have been really hard anyway so maybe his upcoming summer will be better. My kids no longer like Chuck E. Cheese and I have money on a gift card left so I want to take my littlest niece and nephew to use it up and spend the day out with them.
