My heater is fixed! Hallelujah!

Although I am wealthier than I pretend to be, and am also President of India, I Iive humbly, in a small apartment in Northern California. We finally got my heater up and working a few weeks ago. But it was so noisy that I called the landlord again. The maintenance guy and I worked together, found the vibration (it was in the fan), and fixed it. A good start to the first day after Christmas. I will celebrate with a beer. How is your first day after Christmas shaping up?

We saved our son a small fortune by locating the source of a very loud noise in his air-conditioner. You will be pleased to have your heater working again.

What was it? My issue was in the fan.

@JudyEv We were able to fix this fan (so far) just by giving it a thorough cleaning. I have a "Plan B" (something I noticed) if things get noisy again.

@TheHorse It was a bearing in the fan that was noisy.

@thehorse It was for moments like yours that Handel wrote the Hallelujah chorus.

@JudyEv it always lifts me, but yes, I don’t like to hear it alongside Jingle Bells.

@Hannihar No. I get all cozy under my comforter. And turn the heat on the next morning if I'm going to take a shower. I already took one this month.

That's nice. A heater is still important in the cold places. I am glad it is fixed and it can work well again.

The day after Christmas is a holiday in Europe and it usually just a relaxed day to recover after Christmas.

I have worked many Christmases over the years, so I'm not even sure if most businesses treat it as a Holiday here in the US.

@TheHorse It is not a Holiday in your country for what I know, as it is a Catholic celebration, St.Stephen protomartyr (from Greek "proto" meaning first - like prototype and so on).
