The best Christmas present EVER!

My 'Man Bib' photo by myself

No really, this is one of the best Christmas presents I have ever received! When you get to my age (a dribbling, slurping, slobbering 65-year-old) you will find yourself constantly dropping food items onto your clothing resulting in frequent changes throughout the day. This present from my daughter (she has a cruel sense of humour) solves that problem almost completely. No matter how many times I miss my mouth (my daughter doesn't believe that's possible 'cos it's so big) any dropped morsels will land on my 'Man Bib' and not on my clothing. My wife also appreciates this gift since it lightens her load when it comes to laundry time. In fact, I'm beginning to wonder who this gift was aimed at - myself or my wife!

Receiving the bib of shame is a step up from getting a present of say, deodorant. Then you wonder what the person giving it to you thinks- is it a hint that you stink??

@ThreeTeddies True. You can give the giver a pause when you inquire whether they think you smell or whether you can't control your food...

I need to get my husband one of these. As soon as he gets a new shirt he manages to spill something on it.

I had an uncle who'd always give gifts like that. Once he got my Dad an ax, which he had polished the blade of to a shine, and had a little plaque on the handle that said "Order of the Ax". This was because earlier that year my father had had enough of a bothersome gopher in our backyard. He had thought he saw some movement, and went out with an ax to take care of the problem. Well, he didn't hit the gopher, but he did hit one of the pipes of the sprinkler system...
