Southern Comfort

On this dark, gray, drizzly, windy late winter afternoon here in South Florida, lives a true gentleman. He knew of my morning headache which sent me scurrying home from our gym and suggested something to comfort me.
So out he went and bought real southern comfort food and all the fixings to go with it. Tonight’s dinner will be southern fried chicken. I haven’t had it in years!
And if that isn’t gentlemanly enough, he is heating it up now and found a movie for us to enjoy together tonight.
I love cozy nights like these. I love my southern gentleman.

That sounds lovely and I hope you feel better soon. I had left over ham from christmas for my dinner tonight, it was still very yummy!

I believe that's a kind of southern gentleman that a smart lady like you deserves! I hope you have fun, enjoy your southern fried chicken as much as the movie. Take some pill for that headache please. I haven't had dinner yet, however I am feeling the need now to fill my guts lol. PS: Is it me or that shrubbery on the left looks like a huge gap in the sea? If one looks steadily at it, it seems like the water is falling into it. Don't mind me I am crazy no. Take care Dianne! I am glad that you are fine!

Showtime and dinner begins in about 15 minutes. Thanks, I just put some lavender oil on my temples and took some Tylenol.
I think what you are seeing on the left is sea grass. The tide is going out and there is more sand showing for now on the other side. Now go fill your gut!

I just had southern fried chicken the other day. It's been a while since I've had it too. Now, if I only had some Southern Comfort whiskey to go with it! lol

How nice! Hope you feel better. What a fabulous Friday you really had if it wasn't for your headache it would have been so perfect. It's raining today on Oahu. Poured even today. Glad it's lightening up presently. Have a safe, prosperous and Happy New Year!

@DianneN Not me, I will skip the fries. Try some lavender Dianne, either lavender oil mixed with a bit of coconut or carrier oil rubbed on you temples so soothing.
Also Excedrin Migraine pills work good for bad headaches..they are not always for migraines.

That's so sweet! You mean your husband, right? What a guy! You posted this on Thursday . . . well we were at Knott's Berry Farm that day. We should've had their "famous" fried chicken and boysenberry pie at the front of the park, but we stayed til closing and then food places were closed. I guess that would have been Southern California fried chicken .1 person likes this
