Winter can be fun and since many of us can't avoid it, it's good to get involved in some fun winter activities.
I try to stay positive and at my age, walking is about the only fun thing I can manage and do try to get out and about almost every day no matter what winter throws my way.
Are there any winter activities that you enjoy such as skiing, skating, building a snowman or something else?

Yes, at this age I am also reduced to walking as my only activity. If I am at a park then I may make some snowballs and throw them into the air or at at a tree.

@LadyDuck People may wonder why is an old man throwing snowballs at kids and they may have me arrested?

Throwing snow balls is funny. Hide somewhere and throw the balls to kids.

@Mavic123456 If you are all going to die when it snows then I hope it never snows where you are.

Having moved from northern Europe to Florida I have to rethink winter activities. I no longer have snow outside so a walk along the beach might be refreshing.

Should I feel bad for you for not having any snow to enjoy and you are forced to walk on a beach?

@1hopefulman no it will be interesting for me at this time of year to go walking on the beach after spending many winters marching through snow drifts. I did not see it there before but just love that photo of the cat in the snow. Remind me of my cat in the winters he too is now enjoying the sunshine.

@RasmaSandra Do you take the cat for walks on the beach? Be careful, you might get sand in your shoes.
Did you ever enjoy any winter activities?

Sorry about that! Maybe it's time to find a few things that give you joy and do them on a regular basis.

@Nevena83 Don't let the day end with negative thoughts. I once read that it was good at the end of each day to focus on 5 good things for which to be thankful. They could be some things that we take for granted like:
I was able to get out of bed
I had food to eat
I have some clothes
I have friends on myLot
My house had heat
All the best!

@1hopefulman I enjoyed in small things, but it is hard to rejoice whenever I have people who smash my smile in a moment.

@1hopefulman I would prefer to be a bird. Then I would just fly where the weather is better

@1hopefulman Yes, it can be. I slipped in 2007 and broke my leg and ankle leading to two surgeries and cast seven times in 8 months and a boot to wear for a year after. I'm still with issues.

I like the picture also! I seem to like the changing seasons and even though winter can be a challenge at times there is some charm to it.

When we overdo sleep, it makes us feel bad. We need to do some activity that is fun.

Sorry to hear that! I have so many beautiful memories of skating and skiing. My second honeymoon was at a ski lodge belonging to the the Von Trapp family of the Sound Of Music fame.

The cold can be hard for some to endure. Don't come here in the winter if ever you wanted to visit.

@porwest From May to Sept it's not that bad, except in July and August when it is very hot.

@1hopefulman I lived in Wisconsin for better than 25 years, so I know cold. Canada is the true Tundra, and I would never want to live there just because I don't think you guys EVER warm up there.

The photo is pretty and I got it on Pixabay. We don't see any cats outdoors in the winter. They stay inside where it's warm.

Yes, it's fun to walk in the snow. When you travel, do you go to the mountains to ski?

I don't have a cat at this time. It is a picture from Pixabay.
Yes, I remember when I had a dog and came home after a walk in the snow and having to get all those little snowballs off his fur and that was no fun.
