Wonderful Afternoon

Okay, I'm home and settled in front of my computer. I'm also warming up since my brother must keep his home under 70. My feet were starting to freeze. They're now thawing.
I confess, I cheated big time on my diet. They had nibbles. I thought it would be a meal. I should have eaten before I left. Oh well, I can say the whole holiday season has been a bust on the diet. I will be back on my diet for the rest of the year.
I took pictures. This is one of them. I don't know which one I'm going to choose yet, so I won't say it's my sister or my brother and sister-in-law, but it will be one of those pics.
How was your day? Thanks for reading.
Edit: Picture is brother in recliner, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law closest to the camera.

I'm glad you added your edited addition as I was wondering how you didn't know which picture you ended up with, lol.
Good that you had a good time and I didn't do well with eating over the holidays either, but I'd say I'm back on track except I've not gotten on the track yet. Maybe today will be the first of many good days on track to come.
For supper I ate some cottage cheese and then had some broccoli and cauliflower pieces, baby carrots and pea pods with a spicy guacamole with corn. All low in carbs and cals. Earlier, before I sat down to eat my veggies and dairy I had a protein food bar.
I bought several types of food bars lower in cals and carbs for those days/times when I'm itching for something a bit sweet. Hopefully, I can stick with this. I'd like to lose five pounds before going back to work within the month.

I'm still going up and down. I know that muscle weighs more than fat, so hopefully more muscle is being built and that's why I go up before going back down, We'll see. At least I'm going to exercise twice per week, twenty minutes on the treadmill first and then working with weights mostly to strengthen my back and thighs. Once i go back to work again, I'll be getting more steps in and maybe I can more easily lose at least what I gained while off.

@MarshaMusselman If you're doing a lot of steps when you go back to work, you should be able to take those pounds off easy.

@DianneN I know you knew I got rid of all my bigger size clothes last year and I'm gathering them together for this years give away at church. There won't be as many, but the fact I'm getting rid of them is motivation to get this weight off and keep it off.

Its okay to have cheat days. As long as you dont give up the diet completely. Which i know you wont.

There are certain times when it is is very hard to stay on a diet. We can get away with it if we stay on the diet most of the time.

Thank you. He's 10 years younger than me. The one in the recliner, right? The other is my brother-in-law.

I don't think it's medical reasons, more the bill. But I didn't ask.

Eating healthy from Thanksgiving to New Years is tough! I need to get back on track as well once I eat up all this yummy stuff first
My house is set at 64. It used to be at 62 but I just couldn't stand the cold and had to turn it up two degrees. If it wasn't so costly for fuel oil I would turn the thermostat much hotter!
I like all the photos on the wall in the photo. It looks artistic without looking over crowded.

I'm sure it was nice being around family today and I'm sure all the nibbles were good. Picking yourself up and getting back on track is taking the right step forward. We have to learn how to enjoy a day here and there and get right back on the diet. I think that's how skinny people manage their weight.
