First expensive purchase for the year

To reward myself for a good 2018, I had went to purchase a Nintendo Switch. Yes a Nintendo switch to replace the PS4 that died for some strange reasons. Had a few games purchased as well and the best thing is that I could spend hours for it. The problem is that playing too much of it will ruin my 2019. So I will just play it once awhile and probably in between. My wife had told me not to spend so much especially if we have additional expenditures that may pop up at the end of the year somehow. I agree with her somehow as I would need to spend less and make more money

sometimes we should give in to what we want, our caprices, and do the best thing on them.

@id_peace my son when he received his first salary as an online content writer, bought himself a bicycle which unfortunately was damaged last 2016 due to the typhoon. he also bought his laptop, another bicycle that he uses sometimes, a CPU, an x-box, a tripod, and many more. i agree to those purchases.

It's easy to get really involved in some games. I am playing a lot of Ticket To Ride online lately but only with a robot.

@id_peace We have the board game (hard copy ) as well and play it sometimes. There are no prizes on the computer game. It's just for fun.

Yes, one should always have some savings in form of liquidity, which can come handy during some unexpected crisis.

We can always find a workaround, and we all need a little "treat" from time to time. Life is too short you know.

It's okay to have that, as long as you will not spend so much on it, that the family bonding gets less attention already.
