While we were with our Catholic friends over New Year, we played a trick on them. So we’ve been friends for this group for many, many years and it’s become something of a tradition for Vince to cook breakfast when we get together. Others also help but he does the bulk of any cooking that needs to be done.
So he served up the toast in the photo to one of the group and she was stunned that the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary was embedded on it. While she didn’t want to believe it was a miracle, she couldn’t work out how it came about.
It was simple really – just a stamp affair which was pushed into the bread before it was put in the toaster. After the laughter died down, we decided we should call ourselves members of ‘the Church of the Holy Toast’.

That's heresy I tell you! Heresy!!!! Or is it blasphemy? Apparently, I need to go to church more often. Let us bow down and pray to the Holy Toast. Amen.

@JudyEv I, for one, have a sense of humor when it comes to religion.
Q: How do you make Holy Water?
A: You boil the hell out of it!

Haha. I was hoping I didn't offend anyone with this. Some people don't have much of a sense of humour, especially where religion is concerned. I'm sure the good Lord has a sense of humour. Why else would He come up with Cardinal Sin (former Archbishop of the Philippines)?

That's shows how how religious Catholics are. In fact tomorrow it's one of the biggest processions of the country, the processions of the black Nazarene in Quiapo church.

It created a lot of laughter which is always a good thing.

Someone years ago in Italy pretended that the face of Jesus appeared "by miracle" on this toasted bread. He surely did something similar to what you did.

I didn't know you could do that with bread before putting it in the toaster.
