One of My Busier Days

I did take an hour and a half nap yesterday as soon as I came home from the pool. I sat at the computer hoping to get a little work accomplished, but that ended soon. When I got up, I was out the door to my son's to do laundry. When I arrived home, it was time to clean and get ready for the group last night.
However, as busy as I was to get everything accomplished before 6:30, I was also in a lot of pain, thanks to the new weather system that won't even touch here, but will be south of us. I wanted to cancel last night's meeting, but that was selfish of me, so I pressed onward.
I took my phone from my bag and put it on the table in front of me. The table I had just set up and placed all the chairs around, despite the amount of pain I was in. When I was almost ready for the meeting, my phone rang. Two weren't coming. Then I saw I had six messages. I am really beginning to hate that phone. That phone was near me all day and still, I didn't hear it. Two more in the group couldn't make it. That left one person. I texted everyone to let them know the meeting was canceled and I would get back to them when we could meet for the final session. Next week isn't feasible for members of the group, and with winter on us, there's no guarantee for the weather. So, I'll be playing it by ear.
Now, I'm not complaining about putting the table and chairs away right after I set them up. I was grateful I could cancel the meeting. It was early, so I tried to find a movie to watch, but that ended almost as soon as it began as I was also very tired. So, taking my second dose of Ibuprofen, I went to bed after checking in on my game and popping in here for a second to see we were paid yesterday.
I woke this morning pain-free, the system must have gone through, and 8.5 hours of sleep. It's a gray day out there, and I have over 200 notifications because I couldn't get here yesterday to see what your day was like. I will remedy that today. I also didn't work on my book yesterday. Yes, I was that busy.
I should go to L.I.F.T. this morning, but I only want to rest up from yesterday and spend time with you and later get work done on Destination Love. I did look for possible book covers a couple days ago, but nothing grabbed me, though I did choose a couple for it and A Score to Settle.
That's it for now. I'll be making something to eat soon as I whittle away at my notifications.
What's new with you? Thanks for reading.

I find it strange that at times I don't hear the phone and later find that I missed a call.
Is Destination Love about the mountains or are you trying to invoke an image of something mysterious?

@1hopefulman I'm sure they are. Alaska has several mountain ranges.

I am sorry to hear you were in pain from the weather. My legs get that way when we are going to get a big storm or major change in the weather. More so in the summer it seems. That is a bummer you had to cancel the meeting but since you were in so much pain it kind of worked out for the best.

It's been rescheduled to February 1st. Providing the weather cooperates. As much as I want snow, I don't want a storm to keep people from the final meeting for this go-round. Everyone is unanimous about going through the study again. I'm still working the details out on that as there is a missions group to Haiti next month and one member of the group will be there for two weeks.

I did have a good day. I stayed home. Which was for the best as the roads were icy.

Too bad you didn't follow your first instinct to cancel the meeting but all is well that ends well. You didn't have to hold it after all.

Since it was here, it really wasn't a huge issue. The hardest was setting up. I always have help taking everything down and putting everything away afterward, which is a blessing.

It was a relief more than an irritation. Thank you. When the weather changes again, the pain will be back. Of that, I have no doubt.
