Are you a special kind of snob?

MyLotter Fleur (@Fleura) called herself an ‘orange snob’ in her recent discussion about needing Seville oranges rather than any other variety. I thought orange snob was a great term and I’m trying to think what kind of a special snob I could be. You can catch her post here: http://www.mylot.com/post/3245279/good-thing-i-carried-on-chattering.
Maybe I’m a rice pudding snob as I really only like boiled rice puddings like my Mum used to make and I can never seem to duplicate them. However I’ve now discovered I can make a great rice pudding in a rice cooker that my sister handed on to me. It’s the only thing we use the cooker for as it seems simpler just to boil rice as we’ve always done – in a big saucepan. For rice pudding, long-grain rice doesn’t seem to cook up as well but the rice cooker has solved all my problems.
So are you a special kind of snob? Is there an instance where only a particular product will do and no other?
The photo is of a dessert I had somewhere.

I am a food snob, I am picky when it comes to eating at peoples houses. People can live as they please but I cannot eat where people allow their pets to walk on the counters and tables in the kitchen. The hair left behind.

@andriaperry I would have too. I don't understand how people can't see that it's just wrong having pets on food tables. And I had a friend would let her cat lap from her cup of tea - then drink the rest herself.

@JudyEv Oh the things I have seen, once I was invited to dinner to someones new house, the guy grilled the burgers outside but all the fixings were on the island in the kitchen, his wife thought it was cute to put her little dog on the island while people fixed their plates. I went and got the food off the grill and ate it plain.

Hmm well I am a food snob in general I think.I am super picky. I try new recipes all the time and things have to be absolutely perfect to my liking and expectations or I won't be happy. Last week I made a recipe called One-pot creamy french onion pasta and liked it so much more then I thought I would. I wound up making it again tonight for dinner to use up more of the ingredients.

I'm as common as muck, what my nan would have called mutton dressed as mutton - I don't tend to have such preferences. Obviously some brands are better than others but for the most part I'm rarely fussy

I will only eat my mother's baked goods. Shy away from others.

I don't think I am a food snob. I will basically eat whatever tastes good to me. I try not to eat things that are too artificial though..or have too many unhealthy ingredients.

I never thought about it before, but I know what I like... which is pretty much all desserts, but rice pudding does hold a spot of honor in my heart!!

Nothing I can think of. Except my Grannies homemade noodles. I love mine but they will never taste exactly like hers did.

Looks like a delicious dessert. I must have Idaho potatoes. I grew up with them and of course could not get them in Latvia so now I must have Idaho potatoes and I love to bake them. I only drink Earl Grey tea since I don't like coffee. Finally my sour cream must be Breakstone.

I'm a snob of certain healthy foods like spinach, cauliflower, asparagus. I know you're not suppose to eat with your eyes (at least that is what my Mom always told me), but something in the way those foods look tells my brain it's not going to taste good
