A semi tragic story from Wetmore Colorado when a mom bear had to put to sleep when she broke into a home in the mountains with people inside who most likely contacted the authorities to assist them from being attacked by the bear. The mom bear left three cubs behind. The Colorado Parks And Wildlife employees who did not want to put down the three orphaned cubs use tranquilizing darts to put them to sleep. The three cubs were then taken to the Wet Mountain And Wildlife Rehabilitation in Wetmore to be taken care of until they reach a mature age to take care of themselves. The three cubs will be taking their winter naps until the Spring arrives and they can be fed and taken care of by the officials of the rehabilitation center.

Once a bear attacks a home then she becomes too dangerous to just leave her be.

Bears of both genders scare me.

@Deepizzaguy I would probably be scared to encounter one in my house.

@1hopefulman I know how we would feel if a bear came inside my home. Do lots of praying.

Glad they relocated these animals where they will be taken care of right. Sad they put the mom down when all she was doing was trying to feed her cubs.

It is a shame that the mom was put to sleep but her cubs will have to live as orphans.

How sad that the bear had to be killed, but they become dangerous when they know where they could find food.

I have heard that when bears are near food, they become monsters so they can survive.

Sorry about the mom but I know she was just looking to feed her little cubs. I am glad they will be alright.

There is an old saying "You can't win them all" in life.

That's a shame the mother had to be put down. Hopefully the cubs will all survive.

That is nice to know that the cubs can enjoy their winter rest this year and then start a new life with their new friends.

I feel sad for mama bear. Thats her instinct, she was hungry. I wish they did not put her down.

I have for the mom bear as well. It is a shame that the animal control officials had to put her down.
