Lionheart is the name of the Nigerian film I saw today. And while I was watching it, I thought on how I would not have started to see it if I wasn´t at mylot. I have a lot of friends from all over the world now that I´m here. And when a new friend from a distant country comes to mylot, I read about the country and about its people. I know several things about Nigeria thanks to that. And that is why I turned on this movie. It is interesting, not only because of the plot, but I could also see the city, the way people dress and the mixture of cultures.

@marguicha I wouldn't have known that either and I hadn't thought about films being made in some other countries either.

That is a lovely reflection on what myLot means to many of us. It is a passport to another country, and a window to another world.

Nigeria is a big and important country, unfortunately with serious problems. In fact most refugees coming to Europe are from Nigeria now.

I have not been aware of what happens in Africa for a great part of my life. It is a shame, but it is true. i am learning a bit now.

Lionheart is an interesting movie produced by one of the top three actresses and movie producers in Nigeria, Genevieve Nnaji. It portrays a good story and also shows the rich cultural heritage of the Ibo people of Nigeria.

I would like to see foreign and independent movies to learn from their culture, food, languages, etc, but I have to admit that my favorite are the american ones, don't know why. Maybe it's because I am used to watch them. But I am glad that you enjoyed the movie @marguicha

I have been centered most of my life in American and European movies, maybe because they were broght here easily. But now we have the possibility of learning about other parts of the world.
