Do you talk to strangers whom you meet in the flight, bus or train while travelling?

Sometimes I talk to strangers, I have to study the person first and see if they would like or not to start a conversation.

That's a sensible thing.. I generally don't start the conversation as I can't understand like you.. Of someone talks to me, I am happy to talk..

Not only you most of person like to talk with co-passengers, specialy in train. But we must be care full when talking.

Depends. When I'm in queue and bored and when I see that the person is someone who would also want to have a conversation, I go for it. I'm not really a talkative person but I do like to hit a conversation with a stranger once in awhile. But like @LadyDuck I do check the person first.

@LadyDuck So true. I usually start with a warm smile anyway. But when I'm being ignored, it's understood that the person is not up for a friendly conversation at all.

You can be misinterpreted, it's better to be careful and to avoid to "annoy" people who want to be left alone.

I do that occasionally, but I don't discuss personal stuff. Who tells you not to discuss things with strangers? Your parents? You're not a child anymore.

I am not a child but still my mom is like don't do this and don't do that.. even though I know the rules.. Most of the parents are very concerned..

Talking with strangers is not wrong.. but getting carried away and telling too much about yourself can be dangerous at times..

Yes, about 2 decades ago I met this man on a plane. He was a nice man seated beside his son who is seating beside me His FIlipina wife was seated on the other side. He gave me his business card that made me remember his name. He is now my friend on FB. I only talk to strangers when I am traveling alone especially when you travel by plane. But if you travel by bus unless it's a 4 hours drive I just do not talk.

Yes I do talk to strangers but it depends on how the person actually relate to me during the first conversation, if the person is not the cold type of person then definitely we will both have a wonderful trip together because there will be no chance for boredom at all
