Simon Longnight (real name) graduated from a local high school in 2014, then went to the University of Michigan (a top theater program in the US). He had been very active in high school musical productions.
Four months after graduating college, he was cast in Lin-Manuel Miranda's huge Broadway hit to play Thomas Jefferson and the Marquis de Lafayette. Then they took the show on the road to Puerto Rico for twenty-four shows as a fundraiser and spirit lifter for that hurricane-devastated island.
Now, the show is in San Francisco through March 31st and this "tall skinny kid" has a career start that is, as he says, "bigger than my wildest dreams."
He even got to the Jimmy Fallon Show with the cast on January 15th this year. He is the tallest guy on stage, towering over 5' 9" Lin Miranda.
Here is a clip if you want to watch.
