My house gremlins presented me with an offering!

As I was walking barefoot through my bedroom the other day, I kicked something. I looked down and saw that it was the button that had popped off of my $9 Target shorts.
I immediately realized that it was an offering to me, made by my house gremlins. Perhaps they were feeling a bit of remorse for hiding so many of my guitar picks, staplers, flashlights, screwdrivers, and even books.
Do your gremlins ever make offerings to you?

Mine gave me a dime today while I was cleaning.

No, but they will return things if I yell at them.

No, they always keep whatever they find. Yours are much nicer. With my husband's thousands of bolts, nut, screws, and every other kind of thing that men need, all jumbled together on tables after the crash into our garage, we desperately need a gremlin's help to find stuff.

Every once in a while I find missing items in places I've looked a dozen times.

I found a toggle in the washing machine the other day. It's off one of Vince's Nepalese shirts. However there is still one missing. I don't think it is ever going to turn up - not that it matters.

What would you like to know about her? She is 4 years old and will be 5 in August. She is still not sure about me or understanding that I will not abandon her. She was abandoned twice and I do not feel I can do that to her. It was very very hard in the beginning. There was so much I did not know about her and had to find out the hard way. It took pulling teeth to get anything about the lady. I believe she did not want to tell me all because she thought I would not take her. Sophie was left to die at 2 days old and the lady and her family found her. She was their first pet. She said she was allergic to her so at 3 months had to give her up. I think there was more to it than that. They named her watermelon which I thought was very strange. Her sons did that. I changed her name to Sophie because I did not like that name and she looks like a Sophie to me. When Sophie wants to be petted she comes to me. She does not always like to be picked up. She bites and grabs still but I carry a water bottle around and try to get her before she gets me. If she bites me then she goes down and cannot come up for quite some time. She had her own place where she goes to get away from things. She comes during the winter to sleep me with at times but I am very hard to sleep with. I toss and turn a lot. She is very cute and adorable and very entertaining. She used to talk to the birds when we were on the porch but they ignored her so she does not pay attention to them now. She loves flies and watches and teases them. She loves to look for food on the ground even after she ate. She wants my food but I will not give it to her. She loves to sit by the window and look out and loves to be on the porch. Water does not bother her. She loves to go in the sink and drink the drips of water in the winter. She likes attention and does not like to be left out of places. I hope that is enough unless you want to ask something. This is Sophie looking out the window.
