Changes From GlobalTestMarket to LifePoints as of February 2019

Online survey site Globaltestmarket is now called LifePoints.
It accepts members from 40 countries.
It pays through Amazon Gift Cards, PayPal, Zalora and Lazada, or you can choose to donate to Unicef.
When you receive an email about a new survey, the link takes you to the new LifePoints website where you now have to log in first, so try to remember your old username and password when you first registered.
The old GlobalTestMarket was more convenient because when you clicked the link in the email, the survey immediately opens in a new tab and you start answering the questions.
The points for getting screened out (what I personally call consolation prize haha!) has been reduced from 5 points to 2 points.
I'm from the Philippines and the rewards I always avail of is PayPal. Here are the changes in the [/i]minimum LifePoints from the updated Rewards page when I log into my account:
285 LifePoints = 250 Php PayPal (about 4.77 US dollars as of Feb 2019)
570 LifePoints = 500 Php PayPal (about 9.54 US dollars as of Feb 2019)
1130 LifePoints = 1000 Php PayPal (about 19.07 US dollars as of Feb 2019)
Minimum points for Lazada online shopping are:
550 LifePoints = 500 Php Lazada Ecert
1100 LifePoints = 1000 Php Lazada Ecert
Please note that minimum LifePoints thresholds might be different for other countries.
The 40 countries that can join LifePoints (formerly Globaltestmarket) that's listed on their updated FAQ page are:
Argentina
Australia
Austria
Belgium
Brazil
Canada
China
Colombia
Czech Republic
Denmark
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Hong Kong
Hungary
India
Indonesia
Italy
Malaysia
Mexico
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Philippines
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Russia
Singapore
South Africa
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Taiwan
Thailand
Turkey
United Kingdom
United States of America
Vietnam
I'm going to be patient and ride through these changes and growing pains that GlobalTestMarket (now known as LifePoints), is going through until I earn 1130 LifePoints to cash out at 1000 Philippine pesos.
Then I'll decide after that if I will unsubscribe or not.
It's not practical (for me, personally) to request payout at only 250 or 500 Philippine pesos.
My other survey sites are YouGov and Triaba, but I'm having second thoughts about them, too. Time will tell.

@hereandthere Haha. I get the finance ones but I have to get Vince to do them as I don't know enough about our finances. I really need to get a handle on our financial affairs in case Vince goes before I do.

I am still unsure what to do with my Life Points. I logged in last December and I was surprised that I have more than 1000 points there. Maybe I will redeem it this December or a little earlier.

if you already have more than 1000, you can request paypal payout now. i wouldn't want to lose that in case something happens to the site later on.

So, they change their name, huh? that's new. Haven't been active to that place for a while though.

they also have a new website.
i suggest that you go and check your account. you might have many points already that you can cash out. look at arbie's response in this discussion. she was surprised that she already has more than 1000 points in her account.

@hereandthere Yes, that is different. The treshold is 1150 points for 100 NOK (about 13 euros) at the moment, they might change that I suppose. I have 1128 now, so I hope I get at least one survey before they change it.
At the moment it's 19 points for screenouts, might also change.

@Torunn you're almost there. will this be your first payout?

that's how it started here, too. they sent teaser/update emails first.
it seems the rewards are also different. manuela from portugal says she still gets 5 points for screenouts and her threshold is 2500 points for 20 euros in paypal.

because it's hard to come by reliable international survey sites for us who are outside of us/canada/uk/au/nz. maybe you can check out yougov.

I'm also not liking these changes. I'm getting screened out more frequently than before. My other survey sites are Toluna, Mobrog, and Rakuten Insight Surveys.

@hereandthere I can reach the minimum payout within a month or so if I do not miss answering the surveys. Yes, they all pay via PayPal.

I haven't used Global Test Market for a long time. I heard they changed their cash out..it used to be 50 and it took forever to get there.

Looks like they have a few kinks to work out. A message popped up saying they aren't available in my country. I live in the US

really? now that's weird. maybe you can try again another day.
i got confused in the beginning of the site change because i would get the 'join now' button so i had to come up with a new name and superlong password. when i got the message that my email already exists, that's when i realized i had to log in, not join again. thankfully, they changed it now to show the 'log in' button for existing members.

I am a regular member of Global Test Market indirectly. That means I am members o couple of GPT sites which are in turn members of GTM. But I am planning to subscribe LP from now on since I am back in India although this site is not available for Indians.

i just treat it as future money. it's slow and takes patience. sometimes i even abandon a survey midway. but it also happens that by the time i reach payout, an unexpected need arises. hahaha!
