Looking Through My Book of Doodles...

I received an interesting little sketch book for Christmas and a set of colored pens for my doodling... something that I am supposed to do for anxiety. While I don't really enjoy it all that much, there is something really interesting about doodling that I thought that I would share. I generally write the date and my mood in pencil on the back of each page so that I could look back at the end of the year to see how far I have come... After a few weeks, I started wondering if anyone else could see my mood just by looking at my doodles... Hubby couldn't but darling daughter picked up on it instantly. "You were kind of annoyed when you were doing this page weren't you" she started to laugh (not exactly her words... but you probably know the expression lol... we all use it. It starts with a "p") LOL... yeah, I certainly was in a mood that particular day... kind of a 4/10 kind of day!! I was cold, by back was aching and apparently my doodling that day gave it all away!! Do you enjoy doodling or does it bore you to tears?? ;) Who knew... they sell books on doodling. Found this photo on Amazon.com

If I can find something better to do... I will choose that every time, but after seeing books on the topic... I'm going to have to rethink this!!

@amadeo At least I grabbed my doodling book... I haven't done anything since early Feb. There doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day!!! Must try harder!

I know a lot of people loves doodling and I did when I was a student. Especially when I was bored in class and didn't enjoy listening to my teachers. Doodling is fun but it's something that I don't do anymore.

@Hate2Iron That's good for you. I have a planner that opens flat and has the best quality of paper and it's from Japan. The brand is hobonichi. Most of the doodle artist I know use that book. And they use tombow pen.

That's a good idea about doodling. I like that- a doodle journal.

Doodles! As long as it's helpful to you, I think it's great. I doodle when I'm on the phone if not pacing back and forth.

I don't know as of yet if there is any beneficial to the practice. It was just something that they said to do over at SB... so I started.

Who'd a thought? I can believe that moods could be revealed in doodles though.
