18th day of February and my father wrote a letter to his sister:
Dear Ava,
I have a bouncing baby girl. And you know what? She's the most beautiful baby in the hospital.
Yes, like any other dads, he was very proud of having me and I was his third daughter and the fifth child already. I was his favorite and he spoiled me with his love.
Every time my aunt would see me, she would tell me about that letter.
I am celebrating life today because I am grateful to my parents for procreating and letting me out into this world. To know what it's like to breathe the air; enjoy nature; and to experience life, love, pain, and loss.
But no, there's no party and maybe I'll cry later because it's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to. Here's a music video for you to enjoy.

@DianneN I really had no plan to. Just wanted to stay at home and be with Danie. But husband insisted. Dinner at a garden in our favourite resto.

I doubt I was the prettiest baby in the hospital but it was enough that in my father's eyes, I was.

Yes he was though I've been told that he was expecting a boy, he was nevertheless more than happy that it was a girl. His girl.

Oh like I said I am grateful and I forgot to add blessed. I don't say lucky because I'm a believer of God and with God there's no such thing as luck, just blessings.
And even though my parents were killed three days after my birthday and the last time I saw them was on my birthday, I am still grateful for this life.
I just don't have a reason to party and I don't like to.

Thank you Anna. I didn't cry on my birthday. I gifted myself with a Phalaenopsis orchid and I had dinner with my family and close friends only. I got myself busy with work during the day.
