Update On My Paint Color Choice For The Basement

I told you a while ago about how much I like color on our walls. Okay, that just might have gotten me into trouble. The basement for the most part is completely in the shadows and it's soooo boring down there so I chose a shade of green that I thought would liven it up a little bit.
Hubby just came home with the paint color I had chosen from a paint chip. On one wall it looks baby poop green and on a different wall that gets some afternoon sun, it looks like mustard yellow on steroids. We left it on the wall while we had lunch just to see if it would change...
Nope, still baby poop green and blazing yellow.
He headed back to the store to see if they can darken it up a tad...

We didn't see any yellow when we were looking at the paint chips! Definitely quite a surprise when it went on the wall!!

@FayeHazel She actually put a tiny bit of the paint chip and it was pretty darn close. It's all down to the light that hits the walls. You have no control over that!

I hope you only painted a swatch on each wall, to test it.
I am thinking of a jade green, something not too dark and not too neon in color. Is that what you were envisioning?

Two shots of black and the color is pretty close to perfect. At least so far, I'm liking it. We should know more tomorrow!!

Yeah, those don't sound too appealing. When we remodeled our kitchen, I wanted a sage green, but when I had painted one wall, it looked like a drab, army green. Got another shade and loved it.

I like blue and white for my basement if I paint the wall or maybe pink and white to make it bright.
