Ecstasy for the horse. Have you had any "special" dinners lately?

The other night, I satisfied a craving. I wanted miso soup and I wanted it now. I wanted some kind of sushi and I wanted it now.
I ordered miso soup, California roll (faux-crab), and unagi (cooked eel) from my local Japanese restaurant and brought it home.
I had never done this before. It was DELICIOUS and filling without being "over-the-top."!
Have you had any successful "new" dinners recently?

It is nice to eat new food once in a while. Sometimes, it's pizza or shawarma (pita bread filled with chicken bits and vegetables).

@thislittlepennyearns Both the dinner and the nap sound good. I'm headed to bed soon. I think I will jump five times, hang on my chinning bar, and do five push ups. That counts as exercise, doesn't it? I'll see if I can find the Amazing Rhythm Aces album cover that represents how I felt a couple of hours ago.

Nope, nothing new today. Bought BBQ ribs with green beans and candied yams with hushpuppies and sweet tea at a local cafe. Yummy as usual. I think you and I have some things in common, but when it comes to sushi and eel, we'll just have to part ways. Culinarily speaking, that is.

@1creekgirl It's the SAUCE! It's really good, and doesn't hold back on the spice.

I was lazy and made waffles for supper this evening. I'm getting tired of cold weather foods (funny back in October I was ready for soups and stews
)

I had a week of Mexican food while I was in Ciudad de Mexico. In spite all I walked, I only am around a pound heavier. I loved most of it although I could not eat such a spicy food with so much hot chili all year.

I've never eaten eel and can't really imagine what it would be like.
