Or date of death? Or just remember them in some way? Tomorrow will be Mama´s birthday RIP. She died in July last year. I was thinking of doing something special to honor the day.

Happy to see you here. Sorry to hear about your mom but it's nice that you will do something to honor her on her birthday. It's hard to forget those we love who have passed away when their birthday comes around.

I think that would be very nice of you! I am planning to visit my home area over Easter. I am going to hopefully visit my grandparent's graves at that time.

Your mama is ever by your side and will be happy in whatever way you honor her. Usually, in remembrance of my dear ones that have passed on I light a candle and remember them. Since I left Latvia I have no grave sites to visit but at least I do remember. I always keep those special dates in remembrance. I might mention here it was so strange I had a dream the other night that someone said specifically to me about my late husband - Martin is in Chicago. If his spirit has chosen Chicago must I too go there? I know he has been with me many times but why to emphasize Chicago.

you can buy flowers she liked or light a candle, either at her grave, in church or at home. shaggin's balloon with messages idea is also nice. what did she like to do? where did she like to go? who did she like being with? you can do or go to those places and do something for the people there.

I usually don't, do much for the people who've passed, except for my son, Gabriel, and I usually get something to set by his keepsake/memory box. I don't think any of my family members who've passed would want me to make a big deal over their birthdays, as they didn't make a big deal over them when they were alive.
